MUST HAVE STAR WARS! Top Conservation House Linen-Mount! Here’s a piece that represents two Goliath entities in entertainment that reigned supreme during the latter half of the 20th Century: Atari and Star Wars – A poster both corporations used to advertise their new coin-operated video gaming machine! If you’re lucky enough to remember way back then – over three decades ago – you might remember the initial swell of interest in Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and, the 1983 original release of Return of the Jedi. F you were lucky enough to have encountered all of that, you’ll remember it was a time when video gaming parlors were packed with Donkey Kong playing addicts. The name Atari was a household name and Star Wars was taking over the universe, of motion picture entertainment that is. The product advertised on this more than rare poster was in the dab center of it all. Those were good times. This poster reminds me a lot of them. It’s classic nostalgia and pop culture at its best. The poster was made solely for advertising purposes. It would hang in those video arcades I was talking about. In fact, in my nearly 40 years of collecting Star Wars posters, I’ve only seen three or four originals hit the market. It’s one of the seminal Star Wars product advertising posters one can find. It’s the holy grail of original Atari posters, that’s for sure! This poster was issued approximately 20×30 inches. The poster is in. SOLID C-9 NearMINT ROLLED NEVER-FOLDED ARCHIVAL MUSEUM LINEN-MOUNTED CONDITION. Designed and printed WITHOUT a white border. They call that a full “Bleed” in the advertising industry. It makes it much harder to handle a poster if it’s a full Bleed, and so I had the poster museum linen-mounted so it can be safely framed. I used the best conservator in the USA. He ONLY uses high-grade materials, such as thicker linen and thicker acid-free Japanese rice paper. The better materials cost more but make a real difference in the end result. It’s flat as a pancake and as clean as can be. It’s quite an eye catching display for any collection. However, if you own one of these vintage machines this poster is a MUST! LINEN-MOUNTING is an accepted form of poster preservation by the Library of Congress and every Museum in the country. A lot of advanced poster buyers request and prefer linen-mounted posters because it makes framing and displaying the posters much easier – ESPECIALLY on borderless posters. As I pointed out, this poster was made with a BLUE border only. The white you see in the photo (see photo #3) is the white of the Japanese paper lining the linen border margin. You can see how easy it would be to damage the original poster without that extra margin of protection. The backing makes the poster much safer to handle – it GREATLY reduces the risk of damaging the original. Also, all of my linen-backed posters have been stored FLAT so they DO NOT have a curl to them – They’re ready for framing and display! IT WILL BE PROFESSIONALLY PACKAGED IN A CRUSHPROOF TUBE! Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi Anthony Daniels…. It can crash regardless of any decision you make and can even crash regardless of any decision made by the company related to the stock – Leaving you with a near worthless piece of paper that won’t inspire anyone! The magnificence of art and historic documents have an inherent value that relates to civilization and society. This poster is definitely. FOR MOST ITEMS LISTED. Please write with any questions. If you’re in the market for top quality original vintage movie posters or Star Wars, then please. STAR WARS CineMasterpieces ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTER INSERT NOT A BOOTLEG 1977

INSERT ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTER. UNUSED NEAR MINT C9. ROLLED – NEVER FOLDED. NATIONAL SCREEN SERVICE (NSS) ISSUED. NOT A MINTY WHITE FAKE/BOOTLEG. For Thousands of Vintage Movie Posters. If it has any minor defects like pin holes, creases, etc. And they are not mentioned above, they should be visible in the high resolution photo. WE DO NOT SELL REPRODUCTIONS OF ANY KIND. NO FAKES, NO REPRINTS. Perfect for a high end home theater. Highly sought after by movie poster collectors and aficionados. From the CineMasterpieces archive. This is a genuine 14″ x 36″ U. Insert ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTER issued by the studio when the film was released and meant for theatrical display. National Screen Service (NSS) issued. Not a MINTY WHITE fake/bootleg. There are a TON of fake/bootlegs of this poster. The artwork is slightly cropped and the paper is slightly different. The fakes have been around for over 30 years. We only have ONE of these. These can be very difficult to find in any condition! A long time can go by without one of these coming up for sale. You will have trouble finding a nicer one. Very very minor edge wear bottom right. No tape, no pin holes, no writing, no stains. Normally, inserts were printed in far fewer numbers than one sheets making them much rarer. Sometimes they even sell for more than the one sheet. Collectors love them because they can display two of them in the same space as a one sheet. Usually printed on card stock, studios stopped issuing inserts in the early 1980′s. If a vintage poster is in terrific unrestored condition like this one (EX C8 or better), many experienced collectors will place a premium on it (when compared to a linen backed/restored one). Most experienced collectors prefer unrestored items to restored ones because they believe they will appreciate more in value. This poster is considered to be within that class and is definitely INVESTMENT QUALITY. This is NOT a reprint or reproduction poster! It is a REAL ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTER issued by the studio when the film was released and meant for theatrical display. We are absolutely certain it is authentic. You may be willing to take the risk to save a few dollars, but we are not. We use super strong hi-quality packaging materials including thick cardboard, masonite, and costly pvc plastic tubes. And guaranteed to arrive safely. Please be advised that over 95% of all Original Movie Posters. Printed before the mid 1980′s were issued FOLDED. This is NOT considered a defect. Vintage rolled posters do exist, however they are extremely rare. We can have any folded poster. Which will make the fold lines virtually disappear. Also please note that most movie posters were actually used at the theater, and some will contain slight imperfections such as: writing on the back, pin holes, fold wear, small tears, etc. These are all very common and to be expected, but if they bother you, all these minor flaws can be remedied in the linen backing process. Linen Backing preserves and can actually increase the value of a poster. For the most part, any flaws will be fixed and the poster will appear to be in Near Mint condition. For more information about our. We do not always measure all of our posters exactly. Unless otherwise specified, poster measurements quoted above are approximate to the nearest inch. For example, if we say a one sheet poster is 27″ x 41″ its precise measurements may be closer to 26 3/4″ x 40 7/8″ (or something similar). This slight variance is quite common for all original movie posters. BEWARE OF “FAKE” MOVIE POSTERS! There are fakes, bootlegs, reprints, and reproductions of almost every popular movie poster. WE DO NOT SELL THESE AS ORIGINALS LIKE OTHERS DO! There are many unscrupulous dealers who successfully pass off these posters as originals. They have been doing it for years! These fakes are almost indistinguishable from originals, only experts can tell. They only discover years later when they sell them that they are worthless. Most are from popular movies from the 70′s and 80s, but there are also really old ones and relatively new ones as well. They usually appear in insert size 14″ x 36″ and one sheet size 27″ x 41″. Again, all we can say is BEWARE! We grade our posters according to the Iguide Universal 10-Point Movie Poster Grading Scale. C10 Mint – Investment quality. No perceptible flaws of any kind. C9 Near Mint – Investment quality. Minor flaw on an otherwise unused poster. C8 Excellent – Investment quality. A few minor defects. C7 Very Good to Excellent – Fine condition. Still a very nicely preserved item. C6 Very Good – The typical used poster in average condition. C5 Good to Very Good – A heavily-worn item. C4 Good – Below average but still suitable for display. C3 Fair – Heavily worn, but yet still complete. C2 Poor to Fair – An extremely worn, possibly even incomplete item. C1 Poor – The lowest grade, representing items in the lowest possible condition. Some of our posters are “between grades”. For example, a C8-C9 poster will contain all the qualities/characteristics of a Near Mint C9 except for one or two very minor flaws that we believe prevent it from being a true C9. Sometimes it isn’t possible to do this. Sometimes we can’t roll a folded poster. Please note that if we hold your items for longer than 30 days they will NOT BE RETURNABLE. WE TAKE EXTRA SPECIAL CARE WHEN WE PACKAGE YOUR ITEMS. Folded posters are placed in a plastic bag or envelope and in between STRONG pieces of cardboard and taped together before being placed in the package. Rolled posters are put into a plastic sleeve and then placed in a HEAVY-DUTY TOUGH 3 or 4 diameter thick walled PVC tube. We roll the poster into a smaller diameter than the tube. This is VERY IMPORTANT because it gives the edges strength and helps to prevent them from getting wrinkled. We add soft cushioning material also very important! On the ends to prevent them from getting damaged. We stamp FRAGILE: DO NOT BEND on the outside of the package. EUROPEAN CUSTOMERS PLEASE READ. To protect ourselves, we insure expensive items for the FULL AMOUNT. These combined charges can add up to 25% or more to your final cost. For other European countries the charges will differ. Please check with your postal system on their procedure for packages from overseas so you are not unpleasantly surprised. You must notify us before sending it back. This is extremely rare, but it does occasionally happen. We know how to create a listing that will provide you with the highest dollar possible. We can yield for you MUCH MORE than you would get if you auctioned them yourself up to TEN TIMES or more! Let us sell your posters for you! For more information about CineMasterpieces please see.
