MUST HAVE STAR WARS! ADVERTISING ONLY BERKEY POSTER!! Even some of the most hard-core Star Wars poster collectors haven’t seen this one – a ROLLED BERKEY! In 1977, when Star Wars was first released by 20th Century-Fox, they issued folded-down versions of this John Berkey poster inside of the John Williams Star Wars soundtrack album.. However, there were a FEW originals that were issued to the record stores for ADVERTISING PURPOSES ONLY – they were ROLLED! This is one of those. These rolled originals are. They’re about 1000X rarer than the original one-sheets issued on the film, and so I’m very proud to be able to offer you one of those rare ORIGINALS here. EXCLUSIVELY MADE TO ADVERTISE the movie and the album in the record stores. >>NOT distributed to the public >> FEW SURVIVED! Recently, I had the poster linen-mounted by the best in the US to get the curl out of it from being rolled in a tube for over 40 years. It worked like a charm, because it’s now flat as a pancake, even flatter! Other than the curl. The poster is in NearMINT ROLLED ARCHIVAL MUSEUM LINEN-MOUNTED CONDITION! The only other defect it had was a small crease near the bottom left that didn’t photograph because it flattened out, otherwise it would be MINT. What a terrific cinema piece for any advanced collection or Star Wars. After all, who doesn’t remember this image? LINEN-MOUNTING & CONSERVATION PAPER BACKING. Is an accepted form of poster preservation by the Library of Congress and every Museum in the country. A lot of advanced poster buyers request and prefer mounted posters because it makes framing and displaying the posters much easier. CHECK OUT PHOTO #4. The white you see in the photo is the white of the Acid-Free paper lining the linen border margin. You can see how easy it would be to damage the original poster without that extra margin of protection. The backing makes the poster much safer to handle – it GREATLY reduces the risk of damaging the original. Also, all of my backed posters have been stored FLAT so they DO NOT have a curl to them. They’re ready for framing and display! IT WILL BE PROFESSIONALLY PACKAGED IN A CRUSHPROOF TUBE! Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi Anthony Daniels…. It can crash regardless of any decision you make and can even crash regardless of any decision made by the company related to the stock – Leaving you with a near worthless piece of paper that won’t inspire anyone! The magnificence of art and historic documents have an inherent value that relates to civilization and society. This poster is definitely. FOR MOST ITEMS LISTED. Please write with any questions. RAREST OF THE RARE! MUST HAVE STAR WARS! Up for sale here is one of the RAREST Star Wars Burger King items out there. It’s also one of the earliest: An ORIGINAL 1977 Star Wars BURGER KING Store Display Glasses Mobile. Heck, this is one of the rarest Star Wars advertising pieces of any kind. Burger King issued this large 2-piece ceiling hanger at the very beginning the marketing campaign for the glasses. I think this 2-piece was only used in test markets. That differs from the 3-piece mobile Burger King issued, which is dated 1978. The 1978 3-piece mobile, as nice as it is, was issued in greater quantity. That’s because the BK glasses campaign didn’t break widespread throughout America until the 1978 calendar year. You might want to check that mobile out too, as a possible companion to this item, or, to at least compare the photos to see the important telltale differences, like the 1978 date and much later product number. Nevertheless, this 2-piece 1977 beauty has only been spotted a couple of times over the past several decades, and, that was only within the pool of the most elite and advanced of the hardcore Star Wars foodie display collectors. They track all this stuff. In other words, I’ve confirmed that this one is indeed a true RARITY! You won’t find another available anywhere worldwide. I’ve seen photos of the two other examples I mentioned above. That’s it, I know of three. That’s rare by anyone’s measurement. Not only is this mobile rare, it’s fundamentally one of the best Star Wars product advertising pieces ever created. It was designed to promote the beginning of the wildly successful Del Nichols Star Wars BK/Coke glasses campaign. Certainly, this Star Wars glasses promotion, and, the matching Del Nichols Star Wars BK/Coke posters campaign were among the most successful movie tie-ins ever launched here in America during the 20th Century. This boldly designed 2-piece mobile measures 24 inches tall (not including the string at the top) by 17 inches wide. It’s made of stiff plastic and has printing on both sides. It has great spinning action, and, it’s in FANTASTIC ORIGINAL CONDITION! It’s just as it was taken down in 1977. It’s not perfect mint, but it’s very solid and extremely nice! I’ve posted professional direct high-res scans of the mobile so you can see exactly what it looks like. The photos leave nothing to the imagination. The string at the top will not reach the ceiling, but it’s still two or three inches long, and so it would be very easy to tie another string to it (for knots consult the Boy Scout manual). There is a small chip in the white plastic in the far right white margin near the Luke Skywalker glass. It’s only in the white edge, and, there are only general signs of slight discoloration or “age” throughout this piece, otherwise it’s like new. All the metal eyelets designed to support the string are intact and perfect. The original string stills holds the mobile together. You may want to replace the string if you’re going to hang this on display for any length of time, as the string on this display is 40 years old and may break over time because of becoming brittle with age. If you’re looking for an investment/museum quality item. This mobile is definitely. FOR MOST ITEMS LISTED. Please write with any questions. If you’re in the market for top quality original vintage movie posters or Star Wars, then please. MUST HAVE STAR WARS! Top Conservation House Linen-Mount! Here’s a piece that represents two Goliath entities in entertainment that reigned supreme during the latter half of the 20th Century: Atari and Star Wars – A poster both corporations used to advertise their new coin-operated video gaming machine! If you’re lucky enough to remember way back then – over three decades ago – you might remember the initial swell of interest in Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and, the 1983 original release of Return of the Jedi. F you were lucky enough to have encountered all of that, you’ll remember it was a time when video gaming parlors were packed with Donkey Kong playing addicts. The name Atari was a household name and Star Wars was taking over the universe, of motion picture entertainment that is. The product advertised on this more than rare poster was in the dab center of it all. Those were good times. This poster reminds me a lot of them. It’s classic nostalgia and pop culture at its best. The poster was made solely for advertising purposes. It would hang in those video arcades I was talking about. In fact, in my nearly 40 years of collecting Star Wars posters, I’ve only seen three or four originals hit the market. It’s one of the seminal Star Wars product advertising posters one can find. It’s the holy grail of original Atari posters, that’s for sure! This poster was issued approximately 20×30 inches. The poster is in. SOLID C-9 NearMINT ROLLED NEVER-FOLDED ARCHIVAL MUSEUM LINEN-MOUNTED CONDITION. Designed and printed WITHOUT a white border. They call that a full “Bleed” in the advertising industry. It makes it much harder to handle a poster if it’s a full Bleed, and so I had the poster museum linen-mounted so it can be safely framed. I used the best conservator in the USA. He ONLY uses high-grade materials, such as thicker linen and thicker acid-free Japanese rice paper. The better materials cost more but make a real difference in the end result. It’s flat as a pancake and as clean as can be. It’s quite an eye catching display for any collection. However, if you own one of these vintage machines this poster is a MUST! LINEN-MOUNTING is an accepted form of poster preservation by the Library of Congress and every Museum in the country. A lot of advanced poster buyers request and prefer linen-mounted posters because it makes framing and displaying the posters much easier – ESPECIALLY on borderless posters. As I pointed out, this poster was made with a BLUE border only. The white you see in the photo (see photo #3) is the white of the Japanese paper lining the linen border margin. You can see how easy it would be to damage the original poster without that extra margin of protection. The backing makes the poster much safer to handle – it GREATLY reduces the risk of damaging the original. Also, all of my linen-backed posters have been stored FLAT so they DO NOT have a curl to them – They’re ready for framing and display! IT WILL BE PROFESSIONALLY PACKAGED IN A CRUSHPROOF TUBE!
