RAREST OF THE RARE! MUST HAVE STAR WARS! Up for sale here is one of the RAREST Star Wars items I’ve ever seen: An ORIGINAL 1980 Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back BURGER KING 4-Glasses 4-Weeks COUNTDOWN Movie Poster DISPLAY CARD. This 11×17 inch sign was made to advertise the wildly popular BK glasses offering back in 1980. It’s a 4-weeks countdown poster printed on paper (card-stock) similar to a movie theater lobby card, if you’re familiar with them. It’s a display that was designed to change week to week. It was issued with a “THIS WEEK’S GLASS” chad that fits into pre-cut slots in the poster. Originally, the poster came with two chads attached to the side via perforations. Amazingly, the owner of the Burger King saved the removed piece with one of the chads, and so you can display this complete (see photos #2&3). The chad has NOT been punched yet. I’ve digitally inserted the image of the chad onto the poster to show you how it would look completed (see photo #3). The poster also still has remnants of the perforations along the right side. The scanner was exactly 17 inches wide and it cut off the tiny perforations because they fell just outside the scanning field (a mere fraction of a millimeter) barely beyond the 17 inch mark. Needless to say, if you’re an advanced Star Wars collector – you know how rare this one is. You won’t find another available anywhere! You can’t even find a picture of it on the web. Also, for you Star Wars rarity collectors, keep in mind that this is the ONLY paper poster that was made to advertise these glasses to the public. The other advertising pieces would all be cardboard displays or plastic translites (or translights). Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi Anthony Daniels…. It can crash regardless of any decision you make and can even crash regardless of any decision made by the company related to the stock – Leaving you with a near worthless piece of paper that won’t inspire anyone!
