MUST HAVE STAR WARS! 1977 STAR WARS STORE DISPLAY!! Here’s one of the greatest EARLY Star Wars campaigns launched to cross advertise the film! In 1977, early on, before Star Wars was first released, Lucasfilm and Fox had a very hard time getting merchandising products to tie-in with the release. Wonder Bread brand was one of the only companies to sign on, along with Toyota and Ken Films Super-8 home products. Needless to say – once the film came out and became a sensation – a title wave of other companies joined in. This amazingly nice IN-STORE pole poster and Shelf-Talker display were among the first advertising items released in connection with Star Wars, which makes them two of the most important pieces one can get for their collection. This particular surviving pair was saved in MINT/NearMINT UNUSED ORIGINAL CONDITION! They were not used and are as nice as they can be! The pole sign measures 24×12 inches and the shelf talker is 18×5 inches. Both are printed on PAPER. ARTWORK RENDERED BY: Legendary Poster artist John Van Hamersveld. Van Hamersveld rendered the art on these terrific posters. Van Hamersveld was one of the country’s premier poster artists.
