THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Original ADVANCE One Sheet Movie Poster STAR WARS

MOVIE TITLE: STAR WARS V – THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. FORMAT/SIZE: One Sheet Film Poster (27″ x 41″). RELEASE: First release – Advance. STARRING: Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, David Prowse, Billy Dee Williams. Photos are of the actual item(s) you’ll be receiving. NOTE: Darth Vader advance for the best Star Wars film. This piece came directly out of my personal film memorabilia and movie poster collection that I amassed over decades of collecting. I collected mostly one sheets from the best movies of the year, with an emphasis on beautiful artwork and country-of-origin, but I also ended up with lots of other poster sizes as well. You’ll find everything from half sheets, 3 sheets, 6 sheets, and lobby cards – to props, presskits and trailers, etc… Original Star Wars posters – to original Pulp Fiction advances. Once they’re gone, they’re gone! I try to take photos for you in both natural and artificial light (which is why you might see a slight color difference between the images). MORE ORIGINAL MOVIE COLLECTIBLES & FILM MEMORABILIA. I do not sell fakes, reprints, commercial posters, reproductions, video posters, etc.. Although, as with all rules, there are a few odd exceptions. There’s no theatrical poster for things like Lonesome Dove, so if you want a real poster, your only option is the video one sheet. Similarly, the video one sheet for Dawn of the Dead is actually better looking than the theatrical posters. So, I do carry the Lonesome Dove, and could conceivably carry the Dawn of the Dead. Somewhere I have a commercial poster for Star Wars or the Empire Strikes Back that somehow ended up back at the poster distributor’s – where it got stamped and sent back out to other theatres to display. So, is it now a real poster? Similarly, I can remember when the Matrix was released and the studio wasn’t expecting it to do as well as it did – and they completely ran out of one sheets late in the film’s first release! That’s why Matrix one sheets have always been so sought after, there’s never been enough. Again, does that make those specific commercial posters real now? By the definition most collectors use, it would. Or, at least, it might. Most of my posters were sourced from movie theatres or poster distribution warehouses by myself personally. So, rest assured, none of my posters came from any of those bad dealers you’ve heard so much about. And any posters with known bootlegs have been checked to make sure they’re original, even the ones I personally took out of a theatre’s projection or poster-storage room myself. If you see anything I’ve mis-described, please let me know so I can update the listing! Local pick-up is available. If you would like faster service or a different courier FexEx, UPS, Purolator, DHL, etc… , that can be arranged, but will likely cost considerably more. CANADA : Canada Post – this seems to be averaging 3 to 6 calendar days. The cut-off time here is 3pm EST. I package everything as safely as I can given size and weight constraints. Folded posters typically go in an envelope with cardboard – and then inside a larger box so it has two layers of protection. Rolled posters typically get wrapped in near-neutral-PH paper, then placed inside a tube, then wrapped in bubble wrap and put into a 200# test box. So, again, two layers of protection. Please see the detailed photographs so you can judge each item’s authenticity, condition, and defects for yourself. Unfortunately, due to covid-related service-disruptions and the rise of porch-pirates, etc… I have collected original movie posters for several decades now. I provided the servers (pro bono) that hosted the internet’s first movie-poster authentication site, a site which was responsible for severely curtailing fraud inside the hobby. I was even the person who first broke one of the biggest bootleg scandals our hobby has ever seen. Or maybe it was two? So, you can rest assured that you are getting what you paid for! The best and most highly-collectible movie posters on the planet! This item is in the category “Entertainment Memorabilia\Movie Memorabilia\Posters\Originals-United States\1980-89″. The seller is “moviesandposters” and is located in this country: CA. This item can be shipped worldwide.

Original 1997 STAR WARS TRILOGY special edition TOYS R US Display Poster

Original 1997 STAR WARS TRILOGY special edition TOYS R US Display Poster

1997 Special Editions (Theatrical, Laserdisc and VHS). Episodes IV, V, and VI were re-mastered and theatrically re-released as the’Special Editions’. For the re-release, in addition to extensive clean-up and restoration work, Lucas also made a number of changes to the films in order to “finish the film the way it was meant to be” as Lucas said in a September 2004 interview with the Associated Press. Many of Lucas’s changes for the Special Editions were cosmetic, generally adding special effects which weren’t originally possible. Other changes, however, are considered to have affected plot or character development. These changes, such as the change referred to by fans as “Han shot first”, have proven to be controversial. 37″ x 49″ I HAVE CHECKED WITH A LOT OF STAR WARS COLLECTORS AND EXPERIENCED POSTER SELLERS AND THEY HAVE NOT SEEN THIS POSTER BEFORE, I SPOKE WITH A LUCAS EMPLOYEE AND HE THINKS IT IS ONE OF TWO TOYS R US DISPLAY POSTERS USED IN EARLY 1997 TO PROMOTE THE RELEASE. VERY VERY RARE, I WOULD GUESS AN EMPLOYEE BROUGHT IT HOME INSTEAD OF IT BEING TAKEN AWAY TO THE DUMP. ROLLED NEVER FOLDED, VERY STIFF THICK CARDSTOCK, THE TRAILERS WOULDN’T HOLD IT DOWN, I HAD TO USE A HEAVIER ITEM IN THE MIDDLE. SOME FLAWS IN IT, THE ONLY MAJOR ONE IS ON THE LEFT BORDER WHERE A SMALL PIECE IS OFF OF IT, CHECK PHOTO. IT WOULD FRAME OUT. A FEW TINY PIN HOLES BY THE EDGE, SOME LIGHT CREASE MARKS THAT DO NOT DISTRACT FROM THE ART. THIS POSTER WOULD DISPLAY GREAT AS PROBABLY ONE OF A KIND OR IF THERE ARE OTHERS NO ONE I KNOW HAS SEEN ONE. IF THE PICTURE DOESNT SHOW! IT IS BEING RAN PRIVATE TO ELIMINATE THE USE OF MY AUCTIONS BY SCANDALOUS PEOPLE. It has taken me over 100 hours to add it to all my items. They will not tell me why it needs to be added. Original 14×36 ROLLED Star Wars EMPIRE STRIKES BACK STYLE A RECALLED ADVANCE

Original 14x36 ROLLED Star Wars EMPIRE STRIKES BACK STYLE A RECALLED ADVANCE

Never displayed, No pin holes or tape. ORIGINAL MOVIE THEATER 14X36 “INSERT” POSTER, ROLLED NEVER FOLDED. THIS IS THE STYLE A POSTER, “GONE WITH THE WIND” STYLE, IT WAS RECALLED BECAUSE OF A CONTRACT PROBLEM WHEN BILLY DEE WILLIAMS WASN’T ON THE POSTER, IT WAS REPLACED WITH THE STYLE B POSTER. Theaters were given several items for display. 8×10 and 11×14 lobby cards, b/w photos, 14×36 “inserts”, 22×28 “1/2 sheet”, “1 sheet” posters originally 27×41 and currently 27×40, 30×40, 40×60, 41×81 etc. Free items from the studio had no cut and dry rule either. THERE MAY BE A FLASH GLARE IN THE PICTURE. ANY FLAW THAT IS IN THE ITEM IS TINY. I HAVE BEEN CONSULTANT TO TELEVISION, RADIO AND MAGAZINE REGARDING MOVIE MEMORABILIA. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL RELEASE, ALL NATIONAL SCREEN SERVICE (NSS)NUMBERS AND INFO IS ON THE POSTER, THIS POSTER WAS PRINTED FOR THE NATIONAL SCREEN SERVICE UNDER CONTRACT BY THEIR PRINTER TO BE DISPLAYED AT THEATERS AS ADVERTISEMENT, THIS IS NOT A REPRINT, REISSUE, RESTRIKE OR REANYTHING. I HAVE COLLECTED THIS ITEM AND 1000′S OF OTHERS ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS FROM SEVERAL SOURCES SINCE 1980. THIS ITEM CAME FROM MY RETAIL STORES INVENTORY, I CLOSED MY LAST STORE IN MARIN COUNTY CA. AND EVEN LESS THAT HANDLED PRIMARILY CURRENT TITLES, (1970 & LATER). HOWEVER, OUR SALES WERE ISOLATED TO OUR STORES OR IF WE TRAVELED TO ANTIQUE SHOWS AND COLLECTORS EVENTS. COLLECTIONS WOULD COME IN FROM THE PUBLIC TO MY LOCATION BECAUSE THEY HAD NO WHERE ELSE TO SELL THEM. I BOUGHT POSTERS IN SMALL AND LARGE AMOUNTS, 1 TO 1000 COPYS AND MORE. FOR EXAMPLE, IN 1984, I LEFT ONE THEATER WITH 23 SUITCASES FULL OF 68 LBS OF POSTERS IN EACH ONE. 70LBS WAS THE WEIGHT LIMIT TO GET ON A PLANE. I PAID MORE FOR THE EXTRA LUGGAGE THAN I DID THE POSTERS. IN THE LATE 1970′S AND EARLY 1980′S POSTERS WERE STILL AVAILABLE TO BE BOUGHT DIRECT FROM NATIONAL SCREEN SERVICE. AT THE TIME THERE WASN’T ENOUGH BUYERS TO SELL TO AND KEEP A CASH FLOW. COLLECTIONS CAME TO ME WHILE WORKING ANTIQUE SHOWS IN THE MALLS IN THE 1980′S. SEVERAL STUDIO AND PRINTER EMPLOYEES BROUGHT ME POSTERS WHILE I WORKED THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MALLS. ONE INTERESTING THING IS THAT THE VIDEO STORES IN THE EARLY 1980′S WERE GETTING ORIGINAL POSTERS WITH THEIR TAPE ORDERS. THOSE USUALLY HAD THE EXTRA FOLD. IN THE EARLY 1990′S MY STORE IN MARIN BROUGHT IN MORE POSTERS THAN I WILL EVER BE ABLE TO SELL. I HAVE BOUGHT OUT REGIONAL WAREHOUSES BOTH IN DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN LOCATIONS. I COULD TELL STORIES FOR DAYS LIKE THIS, HOWEVER, NOT EVERYBODY WANTS TO HEAR THEM :. I HAVE NOT TOLD MY HISTORY BEFORE BECAUSE IT SEEMED LIKE BRAGGING TO ME, HOWEVER, THERE ARE SO MANY RIDICULOUS RUMORS GOING UNCHECKED ON THE INTERNET, AS WELL AS INTENTIONAL FRAUD I HAVE LAID SOME OF MY CREDENTIALS OUT FOR CUSTOMERS TO KNOW WHO THEY ARE DEALING WITH. I HAVE NOT BUILT A BUSINESS SINCE 1980 ON BEING DISHONEST. If you have more questions about this item, please contact me at the following.
