Star Wars Episode VI – Return of the Jedi 1983 One Sheet NSS Printer’s Test Proof movie poster. This poster is considered to be a test proof used by the printers at Continental Lithograph, before they finalized the silver title version. In 2022, Premiere Poster had the privilege of purchasing the entire movie poster collection of a retired employee of Continental Litho. Continental Lithograph, founded in 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio, is widely considered to be one of the pioneers of movie poster printing along with Morgan Litho. In the 1950s, Continental Litho. Was acquired by National Screen Service (NSS). At that point, Continental printed most of the NSS posters that you see today. The collection included rare Printer’s Proofs, uncut sheets of lobby cards and posters, as well as many unused rolled and folded posters that were taken right off the press. None of the collection made it into circulation, which is considered extremely rare. Premiere Poster is thrilled to share this part of Continental Litho. This poster has been stored rolled for nearly 40 years. It does NOT have pin holes. There are two small pen markings at the top of the poster from the printers proof process.
