Original STAR WARS B Advance Teaser 1 sheet LINENBACKED Union Strike Version

Original STAR WARS B Advance Teaser 1 sheet, 27×41 movie theater poster. 2 tiny touch up spots, otherwise very near mint before linenbacked, Absolutely beautiful poster! THIS WAS THE POSTER PRODUCED AND DISPLAYED PRIOR TO THE RELEASE OF STAR WARS. I HAVE TAKEN THEM FROM SEVERAL THEATERS AROUND THE WORLD. AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, FIJI, GUAM ETC. I RECEIVED SEVERAL FROM LUCAS FILM EMPLOYEES. I RECEIVED THEM FROM PEOPLE WHO CLAIMED TO HAVE GOT THEM FROM THE FAN CLUB. HOWEVER, I DIDNT PERSONALLY GET THEM FROM THE FAN CLUB. SEVERAL HUNDRED COPIES CAME FROM THE 20TH CENTURY-FOX WAREHOUSE. MY STORE IN MARIN COUNTY WAS A MAGNET FOR POSTERS THAT WERE NOT CONSIDERED TO BE AS VALUABLE AS THEY ARE NOW. Star Wars Advance 1977 (Blue Style). There are 2 versions of this that were authorized and printed by National Screen Service. The GAU is the union logo that appears on most original theatrical posters found on the lower white border in the center. One version of this Star Wars Advance has the logo on it, the second does not. At the Cleveland location that I worked at there had been an altercation with the Union steward and some of the printers. There had been a short strike for a week causing some problems with the use of the logo on posters. Thus, it was omitted from the printing of this particular poster out of the Cleveland NSS location. Both of these versions of this poster are to be considered original! Leonard Powers FOR THIS INFORMATION. THE PROFESSOR WAS AN EMPLOYEE OF THE NATIONAL SCREEN SERVICE FROM 1965 TO 1988. HIS WEBSITE IS PROVIDING ACCURATE INFORMATION UNLIKE THE RIDICULOUS AND SCANDALOUS WEBSITES AND CHATROOMS. Theaters were given several items for display. 8×10 and 11×14 lobby cards, b/w photos, 14×36 “inserts”, 22×28 “1/2 sheet”, “1 sheet” posters originally 27×41 and currently 27×40, 30×40, 40×60, 41×81 etc. Free items from the studio had no cut and dry rule either. THERE MAY BE A FLASH GLARE IN THE PICTURE. ANY FLAW THAT IS IN THE ITEM IS TINY. I HAVE BEEN CONSULTANT TO TELEVISION, RADIO AND MAGAZINE REGARDING MOVIE MEMORABILIA. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL RELEASE, ALL NATIONAL SCREEN SERVICE (NSS)NUMBERS AND INFO IS ON THE POSTER, THIS POSTER WAS PRINTED FOR THE NATIONAL SCREEN SERVICE UNDER CONTRACT BY THEIR PRINTER TO BE DISPLAYED AT THEATERS AS ADVERTISEMENT, THIS IS NOT A REPRINT, REISSUE, RESTRIKE OR REANYTHING. I HAVE COLLECTED THIS ITEM AND 1000′S OF OTHERS ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS FROM SEVERAL SOURCES SINCE 1980. THIS ITEM CAME FROM MY RETAIL STORES INVENTORY, I CLOSED MY LAST STORE IN MARIN COUNTY CA. AND EVEN LESS THAT HANDLED PRIMARILY CURRENT TITLES, (1970 & LATER). HOWEVER, OUR SALES WERE ISOLATED TO OUR STORES OR IF WE TRAVELED TO ANTIQUE SHOWS AND COLLECTORS EVENTS. COLLECTIONS WOULD COME IN FROM THE PUBLIC TO MY LOCATION BECAUSE THEY HAD NO WHERE ELSE TO SELL THEM. I BOUGHT POSTERS IN SMALL AND LARGE AMOUNTS, 1 TO 1000 COPYS AND MORE. FOR EXAMPLE, IN 1984, I LEFT ONE THEATER WITH 23 SUITCASES FULL OF 68 LBS OF POSTERS IN EACH ONE. 70LBS WAS THE WEIGHT LIMIT TO GET ON A PLANE. I PAID MORE FOR THE EXTRA LUGGAGE THAN I DID THE POSTERS. IN THE LATE 1970′S AND EARLY 1980′S POSTERS WERE STILL AVAILABLE TO BE BOUGHT DIRECT FROM NATIONAL SCREEN SERVICE. AT THE TIME THERE WASN’T ENOUGH BUYERS TO SELL TO AND KEEP A CASH FLOW. COLLECTIONS CAME TO ME WHILE WORKING ANTIQUE SHOWS IN THE MALLS IN THE 1980′S. SEVERAL STUDIO AND PRINTER EMPLOYEES BROUGHT ME POSTERS WHILE I WORKED THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MALLS. ONE INTERESTING THING IS THAT THE VIDEO STORES IN THE EARLY 1980′S WERE GETTING ORIGINAL POSTERS WITH THEIR TAPE ORDERS. THOSE USUALLY HAD THE EXTRA FOLD. IN THE EARLY 1990′S MY STORE IN MARIN BROUGHT IN MORE POSTERS THAN I WILL EVER BE ABLE TO SELL. I HAVE BOUGHT OUT REGIONAL WAREHOUSES BOTH IN DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN LOCATIONS. I COULD TELL STORIES FOR DAYS LIKE THIS, HOWEVER, NOT EVERYBODY WANTS TO HEAR THEM :. I HAVE NOT TOLD MY HISTORY BEFORE BECAUSE IT SEEMED LIKE BRAGGING TO ME, HOWEVER, THERE ARE SO MANY RIDICULOUS RUMORS GOING UNCHECKED ON THE INTERNET, AS WELL AS INTENTIONAL FRAUD I HAVE LAID SOME OF MY CREDENTIALS OUT FOR CUSTOMERS TO KNOW WHO THEY ARE DEALING WITH. I HAVE NOT BUILT A BUSINESS SINCE 1980 ON BEING DISHONEST. IF THE PICTURE DOESNT SHOW! IT IS BEING RAN PRIVATE TO ELIMINATE THE USE OF MY AUCTIONS BY SCANDALOUS PEOPLE. MUST HAVE STAR WARS. RARE – WITHDRAWN POSTER! STAR WARS REFERENCE COLLECTION POSTER GUIDE! A COMPLETE SET OF ALL THREE. ORIGINAL STAR WARS 1977 ADVANCE MINI-WINDOW MOVIE POSTERS! Sought after Star Wars originals (see photo #1 and 2). 20th Century-Fox and The Star Wars Corporation distributed all 3 of these little gems. The original 20th Century-Fox 1976 dated Star Wars press book instructs theater managers to wild post in and around campuses; on bulletin boards, in meeting halls, cafeterias, bookstores, music shops, everywhere students congregate. These scarce ADVANCE mini window posters were used for that exact purpose, as well as being displayed at the movie theater ticket counters, and, being sent in the early pre-release Press Kits! When Fox began to market Star Wars in early 1977, they could not decide on how to market the film. Mark Hamill did a QVC television program on Oct. 28, 1992 and was quoted to say, When [Star Wars] opened we didn’t have any posters–we just had photographs outside the building. ” He elaborates by saying that, “Fox wasn’t sure what campaign to go with–an adventure, a 2001 odyssey, etc. The 3 mini window posters offered here demonstrate nicely the early Star Wars campaign in progress. The wordy Teaser pictured in the middle speaks of “Imagination” but does not deliver. This “Odyssey” style poster was dropped from the campaign early on before the film’s release. It was ONLY made in this mini window and jumbo (84×91 inch) 7-sheet size. The final version of a teaser made for the Star Wars campaign, taken from the film’s lead-in, was only ready shortly before the May 25th release date in 1977. Have been used by the motion picture industry since the silent movie days. Not all films released had mini window posters. Mostly big films such as The Wizard of Oz, King Kong, Casablanca, all the way to 2001: A Space Odyssey used mini window posters. They’re among the rarest of all posters made, MUCH RARER than the one sheets! Most of these were tossed out. No Star Wars poster collection is complete without these! All 3 of these posters are in MINT/NearMINT UNUSED ORIGINAL UNRESTORED CONDITION!! The first one with the historic May 25th release date, the Avco Center Cinema and Plitt City Center Cinema, measures 7 1/2″ x 6 3/4″. The “Odyssey” version with the PG logo measures 9 1/2″ x 7 1/2, ” and the Final version with the Dolby logo measures 8×10 inches. These posters are printed on regular poster paper. They are often referred to as Heralds and/or flyers due to their small size. If you’re looking for an investment/museum quality items. FREE is a mint condition copy of the Star Wars collectors guide (see photos #5 and 6). It is the best source for information, prices and photos on the original posters. RETURN OF THE JEDI Coca-Cola? ADVANCE TEASER VARIANT STAR WARS MOVIE POSTER

RETURN OF THE JEDI Coca-Cola? ADVANCE TEASER VARIANT STAR WARS MOVIE POSTER

RARE JEDI & COKE. This is a VERY RARE Return of the Jedi 1983 Coca-Cola? This is a more than rare version of a premium poster that was issued in 1983, and so it’s one of those elite Star Wars rarities. This version is a 1983 Coca-Cola in-house advance with all the new characters from the film covered over, as to not spoil the surprise of seeing them on the big screen. The bullets that cover the characters. They’re actually printed on this special advance poster. Needless to say, this poster was printed. Separately to that of the commonly issued premium poster you see everywhere. Just like it’s counterpart, this poster is double-sided, meaning there is printing on the back. I picture both sides in the photo that I’ve posted. This original poster is in C8-C9 UNUSED ROLLED NEVER FOLDED ORIGINAL CONDITION!! You can see how well preserved it is in the photo. No tears, No tape, No pinholes, only very minor wrinkles on the border that will not be seen when framed. I give a 100% GUARANTEE on the AUTHENTICITY of all my Star Wars posters, and, otherwise! Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi Anthony Daniels…. It can crash regardless of any decision you make and can even crash regardless of any decision made by the company related to the stock – Leaving you with a near worthless piece of paper that won’t inspire anyone! The magnificence of art and historic documents have an inherent value that relates to civilization and society. This poster is definitely. This poster is definitely ECONOMY PROOF! Please write with any questions. If you’re in the market for top quality original vintage movie posters or Star Wars, then please. The poster was never hung or “used”, but it acquired some wear from being in storage. There is some yellowing on the top around the white border The poster is “rolled” and not folded with creases. There are some crinkle spots on the left/ride edge. It’s not perfectly smooth. I tried to highlight all wear in the photos, so please see all 9 photos. STAR WARS? CineMasterpieces STYLE B TEASER PRINTER’S PROOF MOVIE POSTER 1977

STAR WARS? CineMasterpieces STYLE B TEASER PRINTER'S PROOF MOVIE POSTER 1977

STAR WARS? CineMasterpieces STYLE B TEASER PRINTER'S PROOF MOVIE POSTER 1977

ONE SHEET ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTER. If it has any minor defects like pin holes, creases, etc. And they are not mentioned above, they should be visible in the high resolution photo. WE DO NOT SELL REPRODUCTIONS OF ANY KIND. NO FAKES, NO REPRINTS. Perfect for a high end home theater. Highly sought after by movie poster collectors and aficionados. From the CineMasterpieces archive. This is a genuine. One sheet ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTER Printer’s Proof. This is a vintage original poster from 1977. Straight from a former employee of Gore Graphics. Gore Graphics was a printing company that printed original movie posters for National Screen Service in the 1970′s and 80′s. Yes, this does have the GAU logo on the bottom. This is not one of the infamous bootlegs from the 1980′s. There are only 9 of these known to exist. This is the rarest of the rare! This is a PRINTER’S PROOF! Before a poster was printed in large quantities, the printer would print a limited number of test posters. They would leave the color chart on the left edge of the poster, which added an extra inch to the width of the poster. These would then be shown to people in a position to “OK” them. Once they were approved, the final posters would be printed and the proofs normally were destroyed. A printer’s proof is far more rare than a regular one sheet poster and there is no fear of purchasing a reproduction. Rolled – Never Folded. This poster is NOT FRAMED. These can be very difficult to find in any condition! A long time can go by without one of these coming up for sale. You will have trouble finding a nicer one. No tears, no tape, no pin holes. If a vintage poster is in terrific unrestored condition like this one (EX C8 or better), many experienced collectors will place a premium on it (when compared to a linen backed/restored one). Most experienced collectors prefer unrestored items to restored ones because they believe they will appreciate more in value. This poster is considered to be within that class and is definitely INVESTMENT QUALITY. This is NOT a reprint or reproduction poster! We are absolutely certain it is authentic. Please be advised that over 95% of all Original Movie Posters. Printed before the mid 1980′s were issued FOLDED. This is NOT considered a defect. Vintage rolled posters do exist, however they are extremely rare. We can have any folded poster. Which will make the fold lines virtually disappear. Also please note that most movie posters were actually used at the theater, and some will contain slight imperfections such as: writing on the back, pin holes, fold wear, small tears, etc. These are all very common and to be expected, but if they bother you, all these minor flaws can be remedied in the linen backing process. Linen Backing preserves and can actually increase the value of a poster. For the most part, any flaws will be fixed and the poster will appear to be in Near Mint condition. For more information about our. We do not always measure all of our posters exactly. Unless otherwise specified, poster measurements quoted above are approximate to the nearest inch. For example, if we say a one sheet poster is 27″ x 41″ its precise measurements may be closer to 26 3/4″ x 40 7/8″ (or something similar). This slight variance is quite common for all original movie posters. BEWARE OF “FAKE” MOVIE POSTERS! There are fakes, bootlegs, reprints, and reproductions of almost every popular movie poster. WE DO NOT SELL THESE AS ORIGINALS LIKE OTHERS DO! There are many unscrupulous dealers who successfully pass off these posters as originals. They have been doing it for years! These fakes are almost indistinguishable from originals, only experts can tell. They only discover years later when they sell them that they are worthless. Most are from popular movies from the 70′s and 80′s, but there are also really old ones and relatively new ones as well. They usually appear in insert size 14″ x 36″ and one sheet size 27″ x 41″. Again, all we can say is BEWARE! We grade our posters according to the Iguide Universal 10-Point Movie Poster Grading Scale. Almost all of our inventory is graded at least C8 Excellent or better. C10 Mint – Investment quality. No perceptible flaws of any kind. C9 Near Mint – Investment quality. Minor flaw on an otherwise unused poster. C8 Excellent – Investment quality. A few minor defects. Pin holes, small tears, etc. C7 Very Good to Excellent – Fine. Still a very nicely preserved item. C6 Very Good – The typical used poster in average condition. C5 Good to Very Good – A heavily-worn item. C4 Good – Below average but still suitable for display. C3 Fair – Heavily worn, but yet still complete. C2 Poor to Fair – An extremely worn, possibly even incomplete item. C1 Poor – The lowest grade, representing items in the lowest possible condition. Some of our posters are “between grades”. For example, a C8-C9 poster will contain all the qualities/characteristics of a Near Mint C9 except for one or two very minor flaws that we believe prevent it from being a true C9. Sometimes it isn’t possible to do this. Sometimes we can’t roll a folded poster. Please note that if we hold your items for longer than 30 days they will NOT BE RETURNABLE. WE TAKE EXTRA SPECIAL CARE WHEN WE PACKAGE YOUR ITEMS. Folded posters are placed in a plastic bag or envelope and in between STRONG pieces of cardboard and taped together before being placed in the package. Rolled posters are put into a plastic sleeve and then placed in a HEAVY-DUTY TOUGH 3″ or 4″ diameter thick walled PVC tube. We roll the poster into a smaller diameter than the tube. This is VERY IMPORTANT because it gives the edges strength and helps to prevent them from getting wrinkled. We add soft cushioning material also very important! On the ends to prevent them from getting damaged. We stamp “FRAGILE: DO NOT BEND” on the outside of the package. EUROPEAN CUSTOMERS PLEASE READ. To protect ourselves, we insure expensive items for the FULL AMOUNT. These combined charges can add up to 25% or more to your final cost. For other European countries the charges will differ. Please check with your postal system on their procedure for packages from overseas so you are not unpleasantly surprised. You must notify us before sending it back. This is extremely rare, but it does occasionally happen. We know how to create a listing that will provide you with the highest dollar possible. We can yield for you MUCH MORE than you would get if you auctioned them yourself up to TEN TIMES or more! Let us sell your posters for you! For more information about CineMasterpieces please see. We guarantee that all posters we sell are graded and described accurately. Unless otherwise specified in the description, ALL POSTERS ARE ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTERS original theatrical movie posters that were displayed or meant for display (unused) in theaters at the time the movies were released. We will put in writing that we guarantee it to be an Original Movie Poster. This item is in the category “Entertainment Memorabilia\Movie Memorabilia\Posters\Originals-United States\1970-79″. The poster was never hung or “used”, but it acquired some wear from being in storage (some small creases and marks). Overall it looks excellent in my opinion. The poster is “rolled” and not folded with creases. It came from an old California movie & music memorabilia store that closed down.
